HRIQ Services

HRiq is changing the misconception of human resources. Most people don’t understand how many business functions fall under and are impacted by human resources. In addition to payroll, we are educated in handling all of these areas. Throughout the history of business, people use data to make informed decisions. Here are some statistics to help you make yours:

Employee Relations

The average American spends 90,000 hours at work over their lifetime, and 87% of those people reported they have zero passion for what they are doing. Is that who you want operating and representing your business?

Stress from work is the 5th biggest cause of death in the United States.

Only 14% of performance reviews improve and inspire employee improvement.

Employees and companies don’t feel comfortable coming to human resources with their needs. History has shown HR to be a company concealment strategy in regards to sexual harassment and other bankrupting workforce issues. On the other hand, there is little to no protection for false employee accusations and employers have no other choice but to spend hundreds of thousands defending themselves.

Fines from harassment claims have now become a cost of doing business and are continuing to make headlines at an alarming rate. HRiq is determined to change that.

Benefits

Only 52% of employees feel they have competitive health benefits. This is one of employers biggest expenses, most important attractions and effective retention strategies. Why throw your money away on benefits that aren’t recognized by employees? Not providing benefits? There’s a cost to that, too. The workforce is changing and the perception of benefits needs to change, too. Most small businesses can’t provide health insurance, 401k programs and other common non-wage compensation.

HRiq helps identify what benefits employees value so you can make your efforts and investments count.

Onboarding and New Hire Orientation

Only 12% of employees feel they are onboarded properly and that is their first impression of your organization.

Only 50% of employees know what is expected of them at work and only 2/10 employees feel they are managed in a way that motivates them to do outstanding work. That means your business is only reaching half of its potential.

HRiq provides you with employee handbooks of your company policies and procedures, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, employee classification tests, offer letters and job descriptions. We meet with employees to onboard them adequately and leave them passionate about the work they are doing for you.

Compliance

I9 violations can be as minor as not having a date listed in the correct area. These fines range anywhere from $548 – $19,242. Having a trained and educated auditor conduct your I9’s can eliminate this unnecessary risk.

Leave management is one of the most crucial areas of human resources. The Family and Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act have endless nuances that can be easily misinterpreted.

Safety and OSHA compliance is a concern for any business, and in 2017 there were 2,619 claims ranging from $40,000 – $293,235.

HRiq audits your current systems and maintains an ongoing operation in order to keep you from experiencing avoidable mistakes that have bankrupting potential.

Terminations

Voluntary or involuntary, termination is never an easy or standardized process. A lot of people don’t realize the cost of turnover, such as training, cultural impact and productivity. The total cost associated with turnover averages anywhere from 90-200% of an employee’s salary. Not only that, but we spend most of our time with our coworkers, and losing them is awkward, difficult and a huge disruption to business.

HRiq conducts exit interviews, manages workload distributions and transition planning and handles post termination obligations. We facilitate voluntary and involuntary terminations to protect you during a potentially uncomfortable and risky situation.

Trainings

All California employers with 5 or more employees must:

    • Provide 2 hours of sexual harassment training to supervisory employees and 1 hour of sexual harassent training to all other employees
    • Take all “reasonable” steps to prevent unlawful harassment in the workplace
    • Make available a complaint mechanism that doesn’t involve the employee reporting harassment to their direct supervisor
    • Conduct training with a qualified trainer such as a consultant, attorney, specialist, or educator

Online sexual harassment training costs average a base price of $75-150 per employee, in addition to the cost of tracking the training, incorporating it into employee schedules, ensuring proper access to the training and more.

Conducting a company wide training is the most cost effective way to meet California requirements and can be scheduled around your business needs. In 2 hours you’ll be in compliance and back to work.
